line with many products that will look wonderful in your house.
Below
you’ll find the website where you can browse the catalog online and
order right there. OR I have many catalogs that I will bring to
Eurotazza and Sunday School for any takers that would rather paper
order. The last day to order it May 14th. Happy Shopping!

Some things to think about:

Chapter 6
Sheltered
1. If an outsider looked at your week’s activities, would they say you think you live
in a Christian bubble? How can you ensure you don’t get trapped and insulated
from the needs of the world?

2. When was the last time you spent time with outsiders in a casual environment?
Did you feel out of place? Was it difficult to fit in?

3. Do you identify with the description of “Fractured Generations” (pages 126-
128)? Do you know Mosaics and Busters these descriptions would apply to?
How can you help solve or alleviate some of the problems?

4. How do you respond when you are confronted with the fallen world (sin,
brokenness, addiction, divorce, gay lifestyles)? Are you offended and withdraw?
Or are you provoked to confront and engage the situation?

5. How can you strike a balance of in the world, but not of the world? How can
you live with purity while still being proximate to a broken world?

Tonight (Monday), if you are a member of Arborlawn, come and vote on the proposed new building footprints and financing.  7pm, Sanctuary.

Here are two computer renderings on the architect’s vision of the proposed new worship spaces (disclaimer: these are subject to change):

Chapter 5: Antihomosexual

We’ll talk about some of General Conference as well.

Here are some study questions:
Chapter 5
Antihomosexual

When you hear the word “homosexual” what are your first reactions? Discuss
your opinions and try to assess the reasons behind them.

Christians often view homosexuality as more serious than other sins. Do you
think homosexuality is singled out more than other sins in the Christian
community? If so, why?

Discuss the following quote from Dietrich Bonhoeffer as it applies to the
homosexual discussion: “Nothing that we despise in the other [person] is
entirely absent from ourselves. We must learn to regard people less in light of
what they do or don’t do, and more in light of what they suffer.”

American Christians have often sought to confront the issues of homosexuality
through preaching and politics. What are some alternative ways Christians
should approach homosexuality?

Much of the fear and misunderstanding associated with homosexuality is due
to Christians isolating themselves from gays and lesbians. How can your church,
small group, or just you, yourself, make strides to become more engaged and
compassionate?

Marriage Conference option 2 (well, option 1 of 2)

2008 March 18
by pggv

Hello Crossing Point friends,

I contacted Family Life and for anyone who is interested in attending
the Weekend to Remember Conference, I signed up as a group and instead
of paying $129 per person, we can now take advantage of a 5+ couple
special price of $89 per person for the weekend. I know I’ve heard a
few of you say you are interested and I’ll let the word out in the rest
of the church, so I know we can find at least 5 couples who want to
attend. I’ll let you know the group code as soon as I get it emailed
to me (in the next few days). There are plenty of brochures in our
Sunday School classroom if you still need information on the conference.
